Name: Garfield Lynns Alias: Firefly Age: 31 Affiliations: Bad
Occupation: Professional Arsonist, Supervillian Personality: Narcissistic and slightly crazy Garfield Lynns is what most people would refer to as a jerk. He acts like he's the most skilled expert in his field and gets irritable when people try to tell him how to do his job. He finds most people to be stupid and not worth his time and treats them as such; usually delivering rude and/or crass comments and completely ignoring people he finds boring. Underneath all that Garfield Lynns is also extremely passionate about what he does, being able to talk for hours on end about his profession to anyone he thinks will listen. He's been dubbed a "pyromaniac" by most people for his absolute obsession with flame. Likes: - Fire - Money - Anarchy - Destruction Dislikes: - Heroes - Arkham Asylum - Blackgate Prison - His parents (names unknown) Strengths: The only actual strengths Garfield has is his knowledge in pyrotechnics and explosives, which he learned while he worked on movie sets for motion pictures. The rest of his abilities comes from his insulated suit, jetpack, and weapons. Among his weapons are flamethrowers and grenade launchers. Weaknesses: Garfield's main weakness is his insulated suit and jetpack. Without them, he is merely a normal citizen and can be defeated a lot easier. Another weakness, would be his own obsession.

History: Garfield Lynns was originally a pyrotechnic expert for motion pictures, but became a victim of Gotham City's severe poverty and turned to crime, displaying signs of pyromania. Lynns was captured by Batman and Robin after his first robbery. Lynns took up arson as a hobby, but it soon turned to an obsession; he believes he can see visions in the flames. Inspired by actual fireflies, he built a suit and became a professional arsonist. Early in his criminal career Firefly became the protégé of Killer Moth, looking to duplicate the success of crime-fighting duo Batman and Robin. The alliance fell apart when Killer Moth realized the full extent of Firefly's madness and feared for his well-being.
During the events of Knightfall, Firefly's plan was to burn all the places he didn't go to as a child. Firefly burnt down his first target and escaped when Batman arrived. When he burned down his second target Batman arrived again and Firefly escaped from him again. At his third target, Gotham Zoo, Batman arrived again and their fight ends up on a bridge where Batman captures Firefly and leaves him hanging on the bridge.
In a recent attempt to burn Gotham to the ground, Firefly was horribly burned when a chemical factory he set erupted in an explosion. Ninety-percent of his body was burned, and he began his recovery in Blackgate Prison.
He was later seen fighting Catwoman in Gotham City over a diamond before Batman turned up. Although an epic battle between the Secret Society and the Justice League ensued, Firefly was knocked out and stayed down during the entire battle. He made another appearance when the Secret Six attempted to escape the Society's grasp.
Firefly was among the numerous heroes and villains slain by the O.M.A.C.s during The OMAC Project, though he later appeared alive in the Battle of Metropolis, and during the events of Gotham Underground.

"Hey!" shouted a security gaurd running toward Garfield, ".. What do you think you're doing?" The guard asked holding up a pistol and aiming it at Garfield. Garfield slowly turned around, holding a small flamethrower and looking at the man. "Who?.. Me? .... Oh, I'm just brightening the place up a bit." he answered, then pulled the trigger and set the guard on fire.
Garfield turned back around and continued walking down the hall, heading for the bank's safe. "Damn, guards always getting in the way." he said placing his hand on a metal wall that had the safe behind it. He tossed a bag on the ground and began searching through it and pulled out a small bomb. Placing it in the center, Garfield walked backwards while holding a detonator in his hand. He slowly pressed a button on the detonator.
BOOM!
With that, the explosion had formed a hole in the wall. Garfield stared at the safe and jumped through the hole. "Hmm..." he began to think about how he was going to get through the safe. Another explosion? Crack the safe with skill? So many options. Garfield gave a small shrug and reached into the bag one more time and pulled out a bigger bomb this time. He placed it at the bottom of the safe and set the bomb. He quickly ran backwards and jumped out of the hole and ducked behind a desk in the bank.
BOOM!
Jumping up, Garfield stared at the money inside the safe. Jumping back through the hole, he ran to the money and quickly began to shove some into his bag. Filling the bag up, Garfield ran out of the front door of the bank. Looking into the sky, he saw the bat signal and gave a small smirk from behind his mask. He flew into the air to flee the scene.
